Default NFL Offseason Thread

A lot of things happening right now so to keep track and to get some discussion going here is a thread about it.

Browns trade Brady Quinn to the Broncos for FB Peyton Hillis and conditional 2012 pick. Browns sign Delhomme.

I don't know why you would want Brady Quinn when you have Kyle Orton. Great move by Holmgren and the Browns.

L.T. signs with Jets

Larry Johnson signs with Redskins

49ers trade Shaun Hill for a 7th round pick from DET, Sign David Carr
http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=090...s&confirm=true

As a 49er fan I think this is a terrible move. It reminds me of when Tim Rattay was traded in the middle of 2005 so Alex Smith would have no competition for the starting job. Smith has been in the league 5 years and still plays like a confused rookie. Look out for Nate Davis.

The NFL draft is about a month away. April 22nd.

Nothing too surprising so far. Hopefully my Seahawks sign Brandon Marshall. Should be an interesting draft.

I'd prefer the Seahawks beef up their crappy offensive and defensive lines. Another year of Hasselbeck running for his life and teams blowing out the Seahawks in the first half of games will not be fun. Are they still talking about giving up the 6th pick in the first round for Marshall? If so, I'd pass and draft a big stud offensive lineman.

I know what you mean I wouldn't want Marshall either. He seems like more of a distraction than T.O. The Seahawks already have 2 #1 WRs anyway (Branch, Houshmenzedah)

That was a good move getting Pete Carrol. If you're not happy with a coach get rid of him right away, don't dwell on it.

T.O is NOT a distraction. Anyone who doesnt pick him up is an idiot. Whoever gets Owens gets a ring. T.O FTMFW...Brandon Marshall for a good but lesser win

Trust me nobody sticks up for T.O. more than me, but the public perception is that he is a distraction. I'm a 49er fan how could I not be a T.O. fan?? He may not be the best WR in NFL history but he is most exciting and physical WR to ever play the game.

The only game I have ever been to @ Oakland in 2002 he had 12 catches for 181 yards.

Corrected that for ya

T.O is the best hands down. I've tried to model my life after his on and off the field

Giants need defense: I have no clue how they will accomplish that. Dont rely on drafts, get a proven veteran or two and a few a bright star.

Jets need a few more weapons (and leon back). I hope LT is good for real carry numbers this season.

The Jets made me really re-appreciate football this year. I am gonna follow it this season from preseason to the superbowl.

We don't really need alot of defensive players maybe some dbs and a good MLB but the new defensive coordinater needs to start blitzing more we just sit back and play zone all day and get picked apart. The Jets really improved for next season I think that they are just gonna keep going off the momentum of last year, Garcia just needs to be more of a weapon and I think we will be alright..
