Default ebays so called performance chip

ok so i was talking with a buddy of mine the other day and we were talking about the goofy ebay chip that says it'll add up to 55 more hp and torque.. he was saying its just a resister.. my question is.. anyone ever tried it? lol
he was saying that it just plugs into the cold air plug? idk but im curious to see if it will do anything.. and no im not gonna buy it from ebay lol when its like 15 cents at radio shack haha

oh check out his car (here), sadly he just wrecked it.. sucks cause it was awesome..
and i'm thinking about buying his rims for the legend.. powder coated black would look great lol

If its too good to be true, it probably is. Plus that makes no sense. A reistor adding HP and torque? Why wouldn't honda put that on from the factory. 100% bullshit

exactly, it's a resistor. it's some little box that costs $5 to make that splices into the wiring of the ECU to make the ECU think it's reading different values from certain sensors. it's ghetto and it doesn't work and it's not a chip. a true chip is the chips that SR5guy and Telion make that are actual real chips that get replaced inside the ECU. this has been discussed 3 million times before.

If youre talking about those 6 spoke wheels, I used to have those wheels on my Legend. They are okay, but they rubbed with a 215/50/17 a 215/45/17 or 225/45/17 should work fine. I didnt like them because the rears fit fine, but the fronts appeared to stick out a little.

Because honda has to be emission compliant. All it is doing is running the car in open loop.

Those arent too bad, cant I say I would personally pay alot for them, but if they are cheap, they def look alot better than stock...unless of course you have GS wheels

I wouldn't even look at an Ebay "performance chip" for our car. As for those rims make sure the offset and bore will be Legend compliant otherwise you'll be mad frustrated trying to get them to fit properly. They I must say would look killer on a Legend!
