Default Water Leaks

I posted in other older threads, but I recently purchased my old G1 sedan back and it is in need of some TLC. Other then replacing head gaskets, half shafts, brakes, etc I have one very annoying issue. Well, 2.

One issue is the tail light gaskets are worn and leaking. It is a discontinued item so I have to get creative. What have you guys done to fix this issue?

And Im currently getting an excessive amount of water on the driver side floor board. two areas. One up by the pedals/kick panel, and the other being under behind the driver seat in the foot area. I cleaned all the sunroof drains etc and am still getting water. Does anyone know why and or where my leak could be coming from?

Going to pull all of the interior for other reasons but hoping it will help me find the issue, if nothing else to help dry out my soggy carpet so I can get it dyed.

You can try making your own gasket with the same thickness of foam. For the water leak, try removing the cover under the wipers to see if there's any rust holes.

Good thinking. I checked out the windshield area with no leaks. Going to the ol' Home Depot to get some black window sealant and going to seal up some areas that may be an issue was well on the underside of the car.

And as far as the gasket material should I use a factory style foam or go for a rubber type material?

factory style foam since foam can form a lot better than the rubber kind to seal certain angles and shape.

Just double checking...are you saying you cleaned all four (4) sunroof drains?

Maybe the one of the sunroof drain hoses came loose?

Checked all 4 drains yes. The driver side where I am having the issue did indeed come loose. The rubber nipple pulled out of the body and in to the Cabbin area. I pulled it back out so that it was seated properly but still getting leaks. I have to tear the interior out anyway so I was hoping to see from the inside of the nipple came off the hose from inside the car. That's the only thing related to that that I have not confirmed.

Try your local hardware store and take a look at their foam weatherstrip.

You don't specify what year or body style Legend you have, but I found these. I don't like to post links to ebay because they expire, but here you go:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/DMT-HONDA-IM...-/291395319619

The seller has an ebay store as well. The seller states in the description for these gaskets that sedan gaskets are available.
