Default cold lower radiator hose

one of the hoses in the back of the engine busted ,so i replaced it then noticed the lower radiator hose was not getting hot and fan was not turning on while the engine was at normal tempeture.so i replaced the thermostat and the radiator today....but the hose is getting hot when it wants to and fan turning on when the hose gets hot ....does this sound like a bad water pump?????

it does then it doesnt ,,,,what ever the problem is ,it works then it doesnt...when it does the lower rad hose gets hot and the fans comes on ,then it just stops getting water and the fan wont turn on cause the hot water is not comming through....

I think youve lost most viewers here. Thats how a thermostat cooling system works.

The systems thermostat opens when hot, flushes coolant through as the fans kick on. Once the fans cool the coolant enough to drop the temp below around 170-180 degrees the thermo then seals back up closed(not allowing any coolant to pass through the lower hose). Its a constant cycle, open then close then open then close, it regulates it self.

So if the lower hose isnt hot then the thermo is closed.

Your not using straight coolant are you?

isnt that one of the throttle body coolant hoses? I know its not involved in the bypass so im sure you need it. go ahead and un-clog that, and if thats clogged then im sure someone has put stop leak in your system. I suggest you give your system a good power flush lots of water, let everything clear out. then replace the thermostat with oem from acura.

also is your temperature gauge creeping up? any signs of the car overheating, are you losing coolant? having to refill.

any thing else weird happening to your car? out of the nore I'd be happy to help.

No I don't think the clog is the problem. are you bleeding the system? you could still have air trapped in the system, or a hose could be leaking

also you mentioned your water pump.
a failing water pump will most likely leak coolant through the weep hole. you can find this hole to the left of your alternator near the top belt that runs to the crank pulley. is your water pump humming or can you hear any weird noises in that area like a howl?

i bled it good ...no howling ,,,but the hose to that IAC valve had a hole in it , by the time i found that hole i ran out of light so im gonna buy the hose 2morrow ..so then the problem was that after i bled it and drove it ,air was getting in the system through that hole in the IAC hose right
