Default Where to put this lil' guy?

I bought a Thermometer on clearance at Target today. It works great, but the cord for it is really long. Here is how I had it set up before:

When I had it this way (for only ~1 hour), it made little dents in the driver's door panel. I immediately removed it. Even if they are dents I can't see unless the door is open, they need to not be there. Where can I mount this (with the sensor outside the weatherstripping, in the door jamb) that will hide the wire, and not cause dents in the door panel?

Also, for those with LS's or GS's, what switches go in the area I mounted my thermometer?

looks like you have plenty of wire attached, just run it somewhere thats not noticable. Drill a hole where you have the actual therm mounted and run it through the firewall like you would an aftermarket alarm

What are you measuring? A/C, coolant, oil? The switches there are for the courtesy dimmers on the floor, fogs and traction control.

You could get aftermarket rearview mirror for outside temp. Not sure if they have one for inside temp.

Cut the cord? Sounds simple enough. Just cut it and solder the wire(s) back together and there you have it.

Hahaha

I figured out a way. I'll post pics tomorrow. Do you know of any clear tape that's meant to stay somewhere for a while when you stick it on?
