Sup fellas...I'm new here & was hopin 2 get some insight on my Legend in which I'm in Love with but I hate it aswell cuz of all the problems she's been givin me. So I'm here 2 ask 4 ur guy's help 2 bring her back 2 mint condition or close 2 it. Lookin forward 2 hearin from ya'll...Peace

Well #1 its startin 2 overheat again after I replaced the heads & gasket about a year ago along with putting a new fan sensor in. The fans come on but not when they should, it starts to overheat when I'm at a stand still (traffic light) but it cools down when I'm driving. Also I was having problems with the idling, when I turned it on & let it warm up once I put it in drive it'll want to cut off. The RPM's would get close to 0, but when I put it back into Park it'll jump back 2 normal idle. So 4 the past month or so I had 2 drive it with the fast idle scew out of its normal adjustment & also I had 2 adjust the throttle so that It won't cut off when I put it in park. So now when its warming up, the idle is at 2,000 RPMS and when in drive its a little over
1,000. I was startin to think that the ignition timing needed to be adjusted to solve both problems (overheating & Idle). Another problem is that after driving it for about 10-15 miles, when I come 2 a stop I can smell a burned odor aswell as smoke coming from the engine bay & the tempeture is usually around normal. Its almost as if there's some kinda fluid cooking on the block, I was starting to think its oil burning on the manifold cuz I have a bad oil leak coming from my rear seals. Also I know I have 2 replace my transmission cuz its starting to slip bad on the third shift, rough shifting in all the gears so I'm just gonna swap out the trans... |
