getting to the starter is a PITA. i had to take mine out when i replaced my clutch. i have the advantage of access to a lift so i was able to do it myself.

I replaced one in 30 min. lol. Once you get used to it, you can do it faster.

how in the hell did you get it out in 30mins. man it took 30 mins just for the bottom bolt. WOW the thing was just welded on basicly lol

Lol like I said, it takes practice to get it out. And I do it from the top, not the bottom of the car.

Lol ya I usually do it from the top. Just getting the 2nd bolt is a bitch cause sometimes you'll accidentally remove a tranny bolt.

I didn't think the starter was too bad on a C27A1, I can probably do it in the same amount of time as James.

Now, replacing a starter on a C20AT... that is a completely different kettle of fish.
