DIY: Install Fut G1 Front Strut Tower Bar

Credit goes to Beeze and Tubadude for doing the install (I only took pictures lol) and to Beeze for allowing the install on his car

First off, please be safe and never get under a vehicle that is only supported by a jack. Also, this DIY should only be used for illustrative purposes and you can't hold .Org or me (or Fut) responsible if you mess stuff up...if you don;t feel comfortable with your skills take it to a pro

Tools needed:
~14mm wrench and/or socket
~Jack

1. Remove the 3 14mm mounting nuts from each strut tower.



2. Size up and align the bolt holes on the bar.



3. If your chassis has flexed over time (most likely), aligning the holes may be somewhat difficult...jack up the front of the car from the tow hook as this may allow the body to flex back some and allow for easier installation.



4. Move any wires and vacuum lines out of the way to allow for installation of the bar.



5. Replace and tighten up the 14mm nuts on both towers (a wrench will most definitely be needed for this step as a socket will not fit) and lower the car...




6. Route the power steering pump hose so that it is under the bar...you are ready to go!
