? for those with CAI's

for those with CAI's, what do you guys do with the fog light covers?
do you keep them on or off?

i have noticed that when i keep them off my car is very responsive, but when i put them back on the car feels like a tank lol

do you guys have any ideas of how to get the same performance with the cover off but somehow make the car look cleaner? (the missing cover just looks really wierd to me)
