Could you provide me with the name of that hose?

Also - I just pulled the exhaust manifold side valve cover and the inside looks abysmal. Is there a safe way to clean it? Can I just blast some brake degreaser in there?

And I was a bit off on one of the numbers... Cylinder 5 got an astonishing 28% hgeez:

The exact numbers are : #1- 12% #2- 22% #3- 6% #4- 12% #5- 28% #6- 10%
You know 28% is really getting doubtful. Since the numbers vary so much it is likely some valve problem. Also the top end seems to be pretty dirty. If you can afford it you might consider removing the heads and getting a machine shop to do a valve job and replace the valve stem seals. Also take the oil pan out and clean it out real good. Rock auto has a complete engine gasket set for this engine for around $200. You could check with a local machine shop to see what they would charge to do the valve work.

I don't have the money to continue sinking into the Legend... I don't have $200 just to casually drop on a gasket set much less do a valve job, hell I already need ~$320 for all four motor mounts.

I hate to say it but I think I'm going to end up parting the Legend out and finding a cheap junker. I don't have money to fix this engine. It sucks I got screwed over by a shady business, but I learned my lesson I suppose.

Yikes, I didn't realize that one cylinder had 28% leakage. That is definitely in the uncomfortable range. I believe that's also outside of the acceptable limits and gives you a legitimate warranty claim. Man, I hope it all works out for you...

JDM Engine Zone finally responded again. It seems as if a kid in the second grade wrote it.

"Mr.** states that he took the engine to a specialist to preform a leak down test. Now when you preform a leak down test its best to preform this test when the engine is warm and if you preform this test while the engine is cold there will be pressure loss in the cylinders. This fact can be proven at this link http://www.meyerracingonline.com/leak.html When Mr. ** called us after they preformed the leak down test we told him that results will be low if the engine is out the car and if the engine is cold.If there is anyone in the BBB with mechanical experience they can tell you that when preforming a leak down test its best to do it when the car is warm. Now if the engine was installed and it failed the leak down test we would have no problem sending another engine. Mr.** is saying that we are not honoring our warranty, in our order for us to honor our warranty the costumer must follow the policies which is to install the engine and run it. Mr.** is looking for excuses to return the engine and when he called us and we explained the procedures for the warranty and that he had to install it and run it first he immediately insisted on contacting the BBB. He is using the BBB against us for all the wrong reasons when we are not doing anything but following our policies. If he follows the procedures and the engine is broken as he says we will then take the necessary steps to either give him another engine or give a full refund but he must follow the procedures first. If the BBB wants we can provide all our invoices from Japan this is confidential and we will not provide this information to the costumer. Mr.** is saying that the engine we sent is not JDM because it looks just like his engine but all the c27a's in Europe, japan,U.S and china look the same."

The BBB is letting me post my response on their website. It looks like they're siding with me. Victory!

Or you can have either 89hondalegend, 3GCVC, or Travis to send you a better picture of their 2.7L JDM.
