Default rust issue.

hi guys,
alright so i have a slight rust issue. its under that tail lights. is there any way to remove the piece and get a new one? cuz it just looks so grimy and i want to get rid of that rust. ill post pictures a little later its dark right now. would appreciate the help thanks.

Yeah, assuming that piece is still available from the dealer. I had the same problem on my coupe and bought a replacement piece from the dealer. IIRC, it was around $50, plus I had to have it painted to match. It's real simple to replace; if you pull the trunk liner back, it is held on by several nuts.

I don't think that part is available. It is likely I got the last one. You might try a wrecking
yard. I have two used ones, both of which would require some straightening.

damn really? yeha there is nothign around these JY. they crush those cars in like a month so i dont even have a chance to get anything.

I'm not surprised; I think it was like 96 or 97 when I replaced mine. It was the only place on the car that had the slightest hint of rust.

OP, what color is your coupe in case I come across one at the yard?
