Default Cruise Problem after 6spd swap

I just tried the cruise control on brynosaurs car and its not working. It was working fine before the swap. The main cruise light will come on but not the one in the gauge cluster. The cruise is just unresponsive. At the auto shifter harness I connected the pink wire to ground, this is what everyone has been saying works however it doesn't.. Anyone have any ideas?

The pink wire is supposed to go to the clutch switch in an MT. I don't know how this changes when you swap from AT to MT, so I don't know if that's of any use to you.

yea that is how I have it wired up, it goes to the switch and then to ground. So any time the clutch is not pressed the pink wire is grounded. There is something else besides the wiring at the shift harness that needs to be done to get cruise to work but i have no idea what it is. Do you guys think the cruise control computers are different for manual vs auto? Thanks for the suggestion Quaraxkad

The cruise control units for the 4AT and 6MT GS of the same year do have different part numbers.

Alex was telling me before about getting his cruise control wired up. I don't remember the details, but it can be done. I assume he'll chime in here at some point.

hmmm now thats interesting... If they were just wired differently then they would be the same part numbers. Thanks Quaraxkad

I need some input on this from someone who tested the cruise control after the swap and it worked perfectly no assumptions.

I can tell you with 100% certainty a civic will not have working cruise control after swapping to manual from auto. The cruise control units are different. Seems Alex may know a way to make it work, but im gonna bet it involves swapping in a manual cruise unit.
